Description
NATIONAL BESTSELLER • Three classic stories featuring unforgettable Dr. Seuss characters—including the beloved Yertle the Turtle! “I’m ruler,” said Yertle, “of all that I see. But I don’t see enough. That’s the trouble with me.” A small burp causes the downfall of a foolish king in “Yertle the Turtle,” one of three modern fables in this collection of thought-provoking stories. With his signature rhyming style, Dr. Seuss offers timeless lessons on greed (“Yertle the Turtle”), vanity (“Gertrude McFuzz”), and pride (“The Big Brag”) that continue to entertain and delight generation after generation. “Today the great Yertle, that Marvelous he, is King of the Mud. That is all he can see. And the turtles, of course . . . all the turtles are free.”
